Protect Your House With Nest Thermostat

You can combine your Nest Thermostat with the Nest Protect Smoke Detector to enable smart home fire and carbon monoxide detection. The Nest Protect smoke detectors will detect and alert you to smoke or carbon monoxide and will work like a normal smoke/CO detector to alert you of danger, but the Nest Protect smoke detectors will also alert you on your phone while your at work is smoke or carbon monoxide is detected.

But when you combine the Nest Thermostat with a Nest Protect Smart Smoke/CO detector the two devices can work together to potentially save your life and home. The Nest Smoke Detectors communicate with your Nest Thermostat and can turn off your HVAC system in the event of detecting smoke or Carbon Monoxide.

Turning off your furnace in the event of a fire can prevent the spread of smoke throughout your home giving you more time to escape. Faulty furnaces are often a cause of carbon monoxide poisoning so being able to stop the source by shutting down your furnace could save your life.

Nest Thermostat Review 2019: Summary

We hope you enjoyed this video blog post about the Nest Thermostat and why it can be a great addition to your home to help you live more comfortably, save energy and save money. I’ve had a Nest Thermostat in my home for years and I love using with with my Amazon Alexa devices for full voice control of my smart home. What I have enjoyed most about the Nest Thermostat is being able to adjust the temperature while I’m lying in bed at night if I feel myself too hot or too cold. Or being able to turn up the heat on a cold morning before I get out of bed.
